Hi! My name is Lisa Hughes Iversen.

I have many loves – family, pets, art, photography, travel, nature, problem solving…but all of these loves are greatly enhanced by my love of writing.  I have recorded accounts of my life since I was 16 –  collections of words scribbled on scrap paper, school notebooks, hand-written journals, and typed pages. Although my life has been filled with breathtaking highs and staggering lows, writing has been a constant; an essential ingredient to my well-being…my way of deciphering and connecting to the world.

This blog is my attempt to combine my loves in one place. I plan to write blogs dealing with issues that share a common thread, provoke thought, engage, enlighten, and occasionally educate. I look forward to creating an open dialogue with readers, exploring thoughts and perceptions, finding common ground. I plan to post photos from near and far – mostly near, showcasing the beauty of our natural world – one of my first loves. Along with my writing and photographs, I’ll be posting favorite quotes – sharing their inherent wisdom.
